something I don't understand
Why anyone would want to ‘get back to nature’ and go somewhere untouched by humans. What immense and unfathomable self-deprecation!
No, give me a city, someplace where everything in sight has been put there by human will. I want to be surrounded by humanity and all its traces, to glory in its curiosity, its hubris. How dare you revel in its absence!
