I draw my inspiration from the electronic interactions and connections I have with people all over the globe. The medium of oil on canvas speaks to the permanence, tradition and stability of an analog age; so spray paint speaks to the temporal, transitory and transient nature of the digital age.
[This is my bullshit artist statement. I find these things morally wrong. If your work doesn’t stand on its own, if it’s not comprehensible without a written explanation, then you have FAILED as a visual artist. Communicating with image, not word, is the whole fucking point of being a visual artist.]
